Food lovers set to flock to Barton Marina this weekend
Food and craft lovers are set to descend upon a popular Staffordshire marina this week for its end of summer food and craft market.
The market will be held at The Waterfront at Barton Marina this Sunday (30 August) with a variety of tempting stalls.
Whether you’re looking for a handmade gift, something for the garden or some extra special food treats to impress your friends, the bustling market will deliver.
The popular market, run by experienced events’ organiser Sketts, is held on the last Sunday of every month and features jewellery stalls, scarves, handbags, work by local artists, flavoured gin, garden sculptures, cupcakes and tray bakes to name but a few.
Barry Morgan, Barton Marina’s Managing Director, said: “The market has grown considerably since the initial events and is attracting lots of visitors and tourists as well as the locals, which is fantastic news for the area and the local economy. With the beautiful marina as a backdrop, few Sunday markets have the luxury of such a glorious setting.
“The market is also giving people an opportunity to launch a new business venture without the retails costs associated with opening a shop.”
The market is run from 10am until 4pm.
Anyone wanting to book a stall or space for future months should do so soon to avoid disappointment.
Demand is high and space limited. For more information, go to Sketts’ website http://www.sketts.co.uk/
With 55 years’ experience in organising markets, Sketts provide a nationwide stall hire service and can set up a 70-stall market in less than 90 minutes.
