Market food providers lead the way while restaurants struggle on hygiene

When choosing between a top city restaurant or a food stall on Warwick market, you might think the city restaurant was the top choice every time for quality, yet Sketts can reveal that while a recent survey found more than 100 Birmingham restaurants got a zero food hygiene rating, every provider on Warwick market has the highest possible five star rating.
Birmingham City Council recently announced that 142 establishments got a zero rating, including the boutique hotel Malmaison and Marco Pierre White's Steakhouse and Grill.
Sketts partner Paul Skett said: "Markets often have the undeserved reputation of cheaper quality, yet here we have a case where the people buying food from any of our food traders on Warwick market can be assured they have a five star hygiene rating - the highest possible rating."
