A bumper market is coming to Warwick this Easter Weekend to join the St George’s Day celebrations.
Throughout 2014 Warwick is marking 1,100 years of the town, and on Saturday, April 19, there is a St George’s Day planned to remember.
Sketts Quality Events will have more than 50 stalls, bringing everything from street food delights to crafts to the town with a ‘Best of Warwickshire’ market.
Sketts partner Paul Skett said: “We’ll certainly have something for everyone at our St George’s Day market, adding to the many celebrations taking place on the day.”
Other highlights of the day include:
11.30am – a procession through the town, led by St George on horseback. The procession will begin at Northgate Street and end in Market Place.
- street entertainers, stilt walkers and circus skills
- Warwick Castle’s own ‘Horrible Histories’ entertainers
- Music all day on the Touch FM stage from 11am to 4pm
- Shield making workshops in Market Hall Museum which are free to attend.
