COVID-19: Support your local business's!

As this is such a fast changing crisis and Cobra meetings now taking place everyday we wanted to keep you all as updated as possible!

Unfortunately we have currently had to cancel 2 of next weeks up coming events, Cranfield University & Coventry University. This is a decision we have made with the universities as they are making drastic changes to limit face to face contact and footfall on the campuses, one of these changes is online lectures!

Pershore Carnival Committee has also been in contact today to postpone the event which was due to take place on Monday 25th May, with the below comment;

"It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to postpone the carnival this year.

In light of the latest Government advice we feel we should postpone now, to provide everyone with as much notice as possible.

However, we still hope to find a way of putting on the carnival later in the year. We will monitor the situation over the coming weeks, and in parallel explore what options may be available.

We're all very sad it's come to this, but hopefully it is only a postponement and we'll have some positive news for you later in the year.

Meantime, I hope you all stay healthy and your businesses and associations manage to survive this terrible crisis."

However, don't panic, we do still have other markets taking place until the Government advises us differently.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to support all your local business's at this difficult time. We have decided to currently go ahead with all other town centre events as people still need food & essentials which can be found at our below markets. So if you are able to go out and get some shopping in, please head down to your outdoor, fresh air, local produce market.
