These dates which are the last Friday of the month have been chosen to coincide with “payday”.  We consider Brindleyplace to be the perfect location for a Farmers Market in the centre of Birmingham.  There are 8,500 business tenants on site as well as the thousands of leisure visitors who visit Brindleyplace every year. We are also perfectly situated to attract residents in a number of local apartments. A poll on the Brindleyplace website asking if people would visit a Farmers Market here said; 66% said often, 24% said occasionally and only 10% said never.

Continued marketing support, which would include;

• Providing FREE, branded eco-friendly shopping bags to tenants to encourage sales.
• An article about the market (promoting local produce/businesses) on the Brindleyplace website which receives an average of 15,000 hits per month and increases throughout the year
• Articles to promote it in the Brindleyplace publication 'the mix' (12,000), which goes to all the businesses, local apartments, health clubs, hotels and bars etc within Birmingham City Centre and wider area, as well as an online version sent to a database.
• Regular emails to the 8,500 office workers who are based at Brindleyplace to remind them when the market is.
• We will produce 5000 flyers to be distributed to local businesses and apartments as well as an e-flyer to be sent to our contacts.
• An advertisement on the 42" plasma screen in Brindleyplace car park (used by 4 million visitors a year) and an advertisement on the new plasma screen which will be located in the information office.
• A press release to promote the new location at the beginning of May and then additional press coverage on the 1st day.
• Regular mentions in adverts/editorial in Birmingham magazines we advertise in (average distribution 20,000 - 30,000).
• Possibility of promoting the market alongside the Taste of Birmingham PR.  Andy Waters, Michelin starred Head Chef from Edmunds Fine Dining restaurant in Brindleyplace has agreed do a PR stunt promoting fresh produce.

Fountain Square, Brindleyplace is the main thoroughfare for visitors who use the car park when visiting the bars and restaurants on the Water’s Edge, SEA LIFE centre the ICC and NIA. It is surrounded by offices and restaurants and is one of nicest areas in the City.  We have easy access for vehicles to unload and 24 hour security. We also have an onsite service team who can help remove waste and recycling.
